Take a deep breath, May is here!

As we prepare for graduations from high school and college, Mother's Day, Confirmation and the Memorial holiday, life gets very busy in May.  That business is all the more reason to come to worship, take a deep breath and listen for The Still Speaking God.

May 4 is the Seventh and last Sunday in the Season of Easter.  Our Parish Nurse, Chris Rettig, RN is recognizing our nurses for their important work in our community.  Because of Defiance College Baccalaureate and Graduation, this service begins at 9:00 A.M.

May 11 is Pentecost Sunday, and Holy Communion is served.  Everyone is invited to wear red for Pentecost.  There will be recognition of our Blanket Sunday for our mothers, the Strengthen the Church denomination-wide special mission offering, plus Mother's Day flowers.  After  worship, flowers will be sold with profits going to Camper Scholarship Fund, and there will be Church School Teacher's Appreciation Luncheon.

May 18 is Trinity Sunday and the reception of the Confirmation Class of 2008.  In addition, Holy Water will be singing and blood pressure checks are scheduled after worship in the lounge.

May 25 is Memorial Sunday with a special recognition of military veterans.  This is our regular Sunday for Holy Communion.  There is no Church School or Adult Education on this Sunday as the summer break begins.

Now you know why I say, "Take a deep breath.  May is here!"  I look forward to seeing you in worship.

Your partner in ministry,

Bill
