Enrich Your Roots

When I was a child I remember the adults in my life always saying, "Time flies."  At that time in my life I did not understand that term.  Then years went by, and I had a daughter.  Once again I heard from my father, "Enjoy her now.  Before you know it, she will be in school, and time sure does fly!"  Five years have passed and Madison is in kindergarten. I see how fast this year is going, and I am really starting to understand this idea of time flying.  The same is to be said about the season that is quickly approaching.

I can't believe it's time to plan for Advent and Christmas.  I was going through my calendar and getting all the dates straight.  We kick off the season with the First Sunday of Advent and Hanging of the Greens.  We soon move on to December's   activities:  the Christmas Pageant, Happy Birthday Jesus Party, caroling and Christmas Eve services, just to name a few.  In between all of the church activities, each family has their own traditions and holiday parties.  What a busy time for everyone.  I hope this holiday season   everyone gets a chance to step back and enjoy the time they are sharing with their family and church family. If we all do this, maybe time will not be able to fly so fast.

Many Blessings,  Kristi
